Memory of 2008 - Raja Isteri Fatimah Primary School Wins Traditional Dance Competition by Malek Hashim

Bandar Seri Begawan - The 32nd Brunei Traditional Dance Competition for government primary schools, organised by the Co-Curriculum Education Department under the Ministry of Education, was yesterday held at Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School in Lambak Kanan.
Present as the guest of honour was Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education Awang Haji Suhaila bin Haji Abdul Karim.

Fifty-one schools across the country participated in the competition, which was aimed at promoting traditional dances among the students. Raja Isteri Fatimah Primary School emerged as the champion this year with their winning performance, "Jipin Laila Sembah".

First and second runners-up were Dato Othman Primary School and Kg Mata Mata Primary School with "Dundang-Dundang" and "Indung Anak" performances respectively. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
